Working Together is a whole of government initiative that seeks to reduce the incidence of workplace injury and illness and improve the management of workers compensation claims in the NSW public sector. It applies to all public sector agencies, departments and state owned corporations.

The Working Together: Public Sector Workplace Health and Safety and Injury Management Strategy 2010 – 2012 was launched by Minister Michael Daley (Minister for Finance) on 30 March 2010.

Working Together 2010 – 2012 outlines the New South Wales Government’s vision and policy for ongoing improvement in health and safety in its workplaces, and the timely and effective return to work of any sick or injured workers.

The Strategy builds on the progress of public sector agencies under the the Working Together: Public Sector Occupational Health and Safety and Injury Management Strategy 2005 – 2008.

WorkCover led the development of Working Together 2010 – 2012 in partnership with the NSW Self Insurance Corporation and the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and in consultation with agencies, state-owned corporations and public sector unions.
